About Elizabeth Quincy
Elizabeth Norton was the daughter of Rev. John Norton, founding pastor of Old Ship Church in Hingham, Massachusetts; Abigail Smith Adams' grandmother, one of the greatest heroines of the American Revolution. She was also the Great Grandmother of the 6th President, John Quncy Adams, and the grandmother-in-law of John Adams.
She married John Quincy of Braintree October 6, 1715 at Hingham, MA.[1]
Her will was proved July 28, 1769.
