MRS C.F. RAUSCH LIVED TO GREAT AGE

Former Jordan, Resident, Invalided Many Years. Cared for by Daughter.

On Sunday morning of this week, Mrs. Elizabeth Rausch, widow of the late deceased C. F. Rausch of Scott County, passed on at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ada Murphy, in Minneapolis.

Mrs. Rausch was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roamauld Aicher and was born at Burlington, Iowa on January 23, 1857. On November 27, 1879 she was united in marriage to C. F. Rausch. The couple made their first home in Shakopee, Minnesota., moving to Jordan in 1882. There they conducted a furniture store.

Eight children were born to the couple, four of whom are still living. Three daughters and one son, Mrs. Hulda Smith, Mrs. Emma Botts, Mrs. Ada Murphy of Minneapolis, Robert Rausch of Springfield, Illinois. Mrs. Rausch is also survived by fourteen Grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two brothers, Henry Aicher of St. Paul; John Aicher, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Max Wegener, Burlington, Iowa.

Suffered Ills Patiently

Deceased was in poor health a great part of her life and for eight years was confined to her bed as an invalid. She left Jordan in 1923 to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Ada Murphy, in Minneapolis, where loving attention and care were given the good mother.

Mrs. Rausch, a lifetime Methodist, was a member of Jordan Methodist church for many years and an honorary member of the Women's Missionary Society.

Brief funeral services were conducted at a Minneapolis mortuary at 12:15 noon on Tuesday by Rev. Mikkelson of Jordan Methodist church, after which the funeral procession left for Jordan, where services were conducted in the Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock by the local pastor. Interment was in Spirit Hill cemetery.

Mrs Rausch reached the great age of Eighty-eight years.
