Daughter of Thomas Forster and Catherine Harbaugh. Wife of Thomas Foster Rhoads. Mother of Arthur Foster Rhoads, Mary "Polly Rhoads (Elder), Nancy Rhoads, John Pierce Rhoads, Daniel Rhoads, Isaac Rhoads, Thomas Foster Rhoads Jr., Sarah Pierce Rhoads (Grimshaw), William Baldwin Rhoads, Matthew Foster Rhoads, Catherine Foster Rhoads (Sheldon),Elizabeth Rhoads (Keyser), George W. Rhoads, Henry C. Rhoads, Caleb Baldwin Rhoads, and Lucinda Amelia Rhoads (Clawson). Had been in fragile health since the family had crossed the plains to California in 1846. The family thought that there would be better doctors in San Francisco, so a bed was made for her on bags of wheat. As the launch floated down the Sacramento River from their home in Dry Creek, she died. She was buried in an unmarked grave on the riverbank near Benicia.
