1900 Census: Henry, 51, Elizabeth, 35, Joseph, 13, Henry, 12, Elizabeth, 10, Bernard, 8, Herman, 4, Caroline, 2. Christine had died when she was three years, ten months old of diphtheria. They owned a farm in Mercer County, Butler Twp., Ohio. All of the family could read, write and speak English.
1910 Census: Elizabeth, Joseph, Bernard, Herman, Henrietta, Aliver, Louis rented a house at 149 Alaska St., Dayton, Ohio. Joseph was a pipe cutter at a pipe supply company, Bernard was an apprentice plumber and the other children attended school.
