of George and Elizabeth was born in 1840. This would seem to fit the marraige
date found in Pulaski Co. Arkansas. Elizabeth would have been a thirteen year
old bride. Unless her age was a little off in 1850 census. She had Jennifer
or Josephine in 1856 and did not appear on the 1860 census.
There was also a marraige record for George Gordon and Elizabeth Franklin
Shipp found in Clark C. Arkansas on the 27 of March 1838. Also a marraige for
George Gordon and second wife Nora Sloan 26 Oct 1862. George is of Montgomery
Co. Arkansas. Nora from Clark Co. Arkansas.
