Solicits of the King a recommendation to the widow of Lord Mansfield. [Elizabeth, Lady Mansfield, was the daughter of Richard Rogers, of Bryanstone in Dorsetshire, and became eventually the wife of Charles, Duke of Richmond.] Lady Mordaunt has promised the writer that if the King will so honour the Earl, she will deliver the letters to Lady Mansfield, who it is added: "is a very fine woman, and has a great fortune."
