CRICHTON, LADY ELIZABETH PENELOPE (with her mother, Countess of Dumfries, No. 81) ; daughter of Patrick Macdowal, fifth Earl of Dumfries (No. 82) ; married to John, Viscount Mountstuart, eldest son of John, fourth Earl and first Marquis of Bute, and, dying in the lifetime of her father, left two sons, the elder of whom, John, inherited the Earldom of Dumfries 1803, and the Marquisate of Bute 1814.
