About Elizabeth Taylor
Private CL CS, Virginia NC. Elizabeth and Ann Wilson were first cousins of Andrew Taylor. Andrew came to what is now EastTennessee as one of the first settlers in the Watauga Valley of Carter County. He was born about 1730. He was educated at a private school called Timber Ridge near Lexington,Virginia. The school was renamed Liberty Hall and was later to become Washington & Lee University. Andrew married his first cousin,Elizabeth Wilson, in 1756 They had four children: Andrew Jr.,Isaac, Mathew, and Elizabeth. His first wife died in 1770, and he married her sister Ann Wilson. They had three children:Nathaniel b1772, Rebecca b 1773, and Rhoda b 1775. Nathanie later became a General, and fought in the war of 1812.

Elizabeth Wilson was born 1 Nov 1729, in Charles Parish, York County, Colony of Virginia. She was christened 30 Nov 1729, in the same Parish. Her parents, according the the records, are John Wilson and Mary (no maiden name given). (Other records have her first name as Martha and her surname as Harvey, but no source has been found to prove this.) Elizabeth had four children. Elizabeth died in 1778, at the young age of 49. Her husband, Andrew, married her younger sister, Anne, 15 Feb 1779, in Rockbridge County, Virginia.'
