Elizabeth Tilden

Richard Tilden was born about 1515 in Benenden, Kent, England. His parents are unknown [uncertain]. He was a yeoman, or farmer. He married a woman named Elizabeth, she might have been Elizabeth Glover. They were probably married in Benenden. They had five children born in Benenden, then they must have moved to Tenterden, Kent. They had four children born in Tenterden between 1554 and 1561. Richard died in Tenterden, in late January of 1566, and was buried in the churchyard of St. Mildred's Church, now known as Tenterden Cemetery, on January 26.
