Disputed Origins

A previous version of this profile claimed she was born in Banbury, Oxford, England, daughter of John Duck and Ellinore Unknown.

  • There is no such birth / family recorded in online indexes of Oxford vital records
  • There is no evidence for a last name of the wife of Richard Watts
  • She has been disconnected from these parents and her last name at birth changed to Unknown.

She died after 28 FEB 1665/66 in Hartford, Hartford, Connecticut.[citation needed] and was buried there before 7 MAY 1666.[citation needed]

Ben M. Angel notes: Please bear in mind that any secondary record indicating that there were European settlements in Connecticut, or any activities related to such settlements, including births, baptisms, marriages, deaths, or burials, prior to 1633 is a faulty record. Despite what some record compilers might apparently think, Connecticut is not eternal.
