Elizabeth Longworth Wheeler

The following information and the family page came from "Wheeler Genealogy - Family History - Historical Background" located in the New England Historical Genealogical Society (CS 71 WSC 1982):

John Wheeler was called the Elder of Boswell in Cranefield, His Will signed and dated 18 January 1642 and probated 22 January 1644. His wife Elizabeth Executrix of same, and received all the estate except copyhold lands which went to the eldest son John who died young.

The children of John and Elizabeth were all born in England. Birth dates of children are listed as born or baptized.

John had an older brother Thomas who was born in 1565 in Cranefield and lived there all his life.

There were two sons names John. The eldest one, born in 1602. For some reason, the one born in 1611 is called the "eldest son" in the father's Will of 1642/1644.

There were also two sons named Obadiah. The youngest one, born in 1608, also died young. The one born in 1609 was omitted in the will but Tolman's Comp. says son Obadiah is named.

Fact 1: Florence Ethel Wheeler-Leominster, states he was born abt. 1563.
