Elizabeth Burgess Neslen was the sixth wife of Cyrus Wheelock, an early convert to the Church and president of the Northern States Mission. It was Cyrus who was responsible for purchasing wagons and oxen for the immigrant saints in 1853, when the Neslens arrived. She divorced Cyrus, receiving a cancellation of sealing from Brigham Young, and later married a widower, Samuel Starkey Tucker, a carpenter and furniture maker and salesman.
