Per the 1850 Census (August 7, 1850) Ellen Huntingdon, 21, was listed as living with her parents John Huntingdon, 56, and Sarah Huntingdon, 59, in Mahoning Township, Montour County, Pennsylvania with her siblings: Alex, 25 (b. abt 1825), John, 22 (b. abt 1828), and William, 17 (b. abt 1833). Everyone within the household is listed as being born in Pennsylvania with the long exception of Ellen who was listed as being born in New York. It is noted that the last name Huntington is spelled with a 'd' Huntingdon in the 1850 Census. John and sons Alex, William and John, Jr. were all employed as Puddlers.
