About Ellen A Searles

Mrs. Ellen A. Searles, age 63, died Thursday, March 23, 1978, at Hillside Hospital of an apparent heart attack.
She was born August 2, 1914 in Wonewoc to Aaron and Blanche White. She married Gloy (Happ) Searles on November 25, 1937. Mrs. Searles operated a beauty shop in Elroy till 1953 when they moved back to Wonewoc, in 1955 they moved to Waupun. In 1957 they moved to Cambellsport, in 1961 they moved to Fox Lake and lived there since. Mrs. Searles was a well known professional organist in the areas that she lived in.
Survivors include her husband: a son, James Allen of Milwaukee: a daughter-in-law, Karen; granddaughter Melissa; other relatives and friends.
Services were held on Saturday at the Kretz Funeral Home, and at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Wonewoc. Burial was in Pine Eden cemetery in Wonewoc.
Among the pallbearers were Don Bohn and Warren Winn of Elroy.
