From: IamCzech@aol.com Subject: [IRL-Wex-Enniscorthy] Walker Families Date: Fri, 19 Sep 2008 00:53:37 EDT
I am researching the Walker families who left from possibly Enniscorthy after the death of the patriarch James who was born in the late 1700s. He was married to Ellen Hopely who traveled alone after his deathto Canada with her 7 children. She died there shortly after her arrival. Then the children joined other families and friends in Vermont. It is unknown who actually cared for the orphaned children but they were later found in various places such as New York, New Jersey the Carolinas and eventually most of the Walkers settled in Iowa and some in The Dakotas. Anyone connected to the Iowa Walkers. Can share much data. I am doing this research for my son-in-law who is the great Grandson of Grover Cleveland Walker born 1884 in Sabula Iowa. Betty Krummel
