Obituary: Evelyn Forbes
San Luis Obispo Tribune 28 October 1960 Mrs. Evelyn Forbes, 62, native of Cambria and for many years a resident of San Luis Obispo, died in Stanford hospital, Oct. 26, following a long illness.
Mrs. Forbes was cook at the San Luis Obispo high school for many years. She leaves her husband, Elmer Forbes; three children, Lorelei Ingles of Arcata, Elmer Forbes Jr. of Trinidad and Shirley Lantz of Morgan Hill; two brothers, Ed Webb of San Luis Obispo and Clarence Webb of San Jose; four sisters, Mrs. Eunice Jeppesen of Morro Bay, Mrs. Lillian Akers of Santa Barbara, Mrs. Edna Craig of Los Altos and Miss Vivian Webb of Soquel.
She also leaves eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, besides many nieces and nephews.
Services will be in Palo Alto Saturday afternoon at 2:30, followed by cremation.
Friends may donate to the Cancer fund.
Wedding Announcement: Marie Banks Weds Elmer A. Forbes
Paso Robles
Mrs. Marie Banks, a native and member of a pioneer family in the Willow creek area west of Templeton, was married to Elmer A. Forbes of Palo Alto, a native of San Miguel and former resident of San Luis Obispo, in a church ceremony in Carson City, Nev., June 1.
The new Mrs. Forbes is the daughter of the pioneer Weir family who ranched for a number of years in the vicinity of Willow Creek.
On their wedding trip the newlyweds visited Reno and Las Vegas in Nevada and Trinidad in Humbolt county.
Mr. and Mrs. Forbes plan to divide their time between Paso Robles and Palo Alto.

San Luis Obispo Telegram-Tribune, Saturday, December 30, 1989== Elmer A. Forbes, 92, of Trinidad, formerly of San Luis Obispo, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 1989, in Arcata.
At his request, there will be no services.
Mr. Forbes was born January 27, 1897, in San Miguel.
He was a member of the San Luis Obispo Odd Fellows Lodge for 62 years.
Mr. Forbes is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Elmer A. "Bud" and Dee Forbes of Trinidad; a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley F. and Don Lantz; two sisters, Leona Stenner and Mary Jane Tate of Paso Robles; three grandsons, Randy Forbes of Ukiah, Dennis Forbes of Eureka and Tim Lantz of Morgan Hill; four granddaughters, Sue Forbes of McKinleyville, Pam Chiala of San Jose, Lois Beall of Petaluma and Laurel Hayes of Texas; many great-grandhildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
Arrangements are by Pierce Mortuary Chapels/Paul's Chapel of Arcata.
