Elmer Ray Matthews

Elmer R. Matthews, age 77, passed away Saturday morning at his farm residence, R#1, Kent City. Surviving are his wife, Rausamond, one daughter, Mrs. Roland ) Lucille) Mertes of Hammond, IN, two sons Lester A. of Grand Rapids, Walter R. of Indianapolis, IN, two sisters, Mrs. Emma Cloud and Mrs. Nellie Bailey of Greenville, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. Mr. Matthews reposes at the Hayward Funeral Home, Casnovia, with funeral services will be held at 2:30p.m. Monday; Rev. R.A. Swedbery officiating. Internment Berlin Cemetery, Marne.
