Elmina Elizabeth Gassert

Mrs. Elmina Elizabeth Gassert, nee Hoke, aged seventy-six years, of Rocherty, on Lebanon Route 3, died at six o'clock Thursday evening at her home. Death was attributed in a complication of ailments. She had been ill for the past four weeks. The deceased was a member of the Rocherty United Brethren Church and the Home Department of the Sunday School. In addition to her husband, Edwin Gassert, she is survived by the following children: John, of Colebrook Road; Mrs. Sadie Houser, of Cornwall; Irvin, of Rocherty. There are seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Three brothers, Jacob, Henry and Edwin Hoke also survive. [Lebanon Daily News, Friday May 10, 1940]
