Was born in either Rhodesia or Natal.
Had the misfortune to marry a merchant seaman wireless operator in 1924 and was divorced from him possibly as early as 1928. She came over from Durban for the marriage arriving in London on 25th August 1924 on the T S S Berrima and went to 67 Seaforth Avenue, New Malden, Surrey. Occupation as saleswoman.
Divorced prior to Q2 1929 when Reginald re-married in England and went back to South Africa.
Is on the Guilford Castle sailing from London on 2nd May 1929, alone, occupation "maid" heading for Durban and to live in South Africa.
Came to England on July 9th 1935 . Future address is C/o I.D MacDougall, 54 Auckland Avenue, Gravesend. IDJ was her brother. Occupation is given as maid. Embarked in Natal though transcript says she was from Jamaica.
1939 is at 85 Claverton Street, Westminster, a hotel linen keeper, sharing accommodation with her mother (surname spelt wrong) with the same occupation and a younger barmaid.
1946 is off on the Carnarvon Castle back to Cape Town South Africa, age 44, a housekeeper from The Oak Lodge, Parkfield, Deal. Intention is to stay in SA.
