Elsie Margarette Dumbleton

Mrs ELSIE DUMBLETON A wide circle of friends will regret the death of Mrs Elsie Dumbleton, wife of Mr G. C. M. Dumbleton, Queen's Drive, Lyall Bay, which occurred somewhat unexpectedly last week. Mrs Dumbleton was the only daughter of the late Mr and Mrs S. A. Mowels, of Nairn Street, Wellington and was born at Chelsea, London in 1886. She came to New Zealand with her parents at the age of about four and lived for some time at New Plymouth before coming to Wellington. There are five children, the youngest being 12 years of age. A brother, Mr Alfred Mowels, lives at Palmerston North and Messrs J. Blakeley (Wellington) and F. McDonald (Masterton) are sons-in-law. Source: Evening Post (12 April 1939).
