Emil came to the US, he went back home after about a year. He missed his girlfriend Emma too much. He took over the bakery back in Burkardroth after he returned to Germany.
Died as a soldier in 1945 in a battle in Hungary against the Russians. Leaving his wife and 5 children.

Emil, the son of Johann and Franziska Ehrenberg, born february 20, 1910, who, as the intended heir to the bakery, had passed his apprenticeship exam in 1928, died in world war two on january 4, 1945 in hungary. his wife Emma, née Grom, then took over the bakery on january 1st, 1949 with her children Franz, Anton, Norbert and Hildegard and after Johann Ehrenberg died on december 8th, 1951, she had to take her apprenticeship exam in order to be able to continue the bakery business .
