According to Tribal census records Emily Standing Bear Lone Dog had a son Francis Robert Standing Bear who was born in 1919. According to the 1900 federal census her parents were Luthar Standing Bear (born 1867, South Dakota) and Nellie Standing Bear (born Wyoming about 1872 ) who were married about 1886. Her siblings were Lillie Standing Bear, Arther Standing Bear, Raul F. Standing Bear, Julia Standing Bear, Joseph Standing Bear, and Annie Standing Bear.
1n 1900 they were living at Pine Ridge Indian Agency, Shannon, South Dakota.
