"This Certifies that on the 28th of May 1832 I married Mr Daniel Tyler of the US Army to Mifs Emily Lee of this City S B Paddock Rector of Christs Church Norwich Received for record May 29th 1832 Alex Lathrop Town Clerk" [Vital Records of Norwich, pg 753]

"Died TYLER- At the Everett House (corner of 17th Street and Fourth Avenue, built 1848, demolished 1908), in this City, on Wednesday evening, March 9, after a short illness, Emily Lee, wife of Brig. Gen. Daniel Tyler, U.S. Vols." Her remains will be taken to Norwich, Conn., for interment." [New York Times, Friday, March 11, 1864]
