Emma Elma Brunson

Emma Funk Brunson was born on March 27, 1903, in Hillsboro, Kansas. She was one of 14 children who reached adulthood born to Gerhard (George) and Sara Bartel Funk. Emma married Howard Darden Brunson on June 25, 1932, in Kansas.

Emma was a kind and generous soul with a wonderful sense of humor. She could cook anything well, not least of which was her wonderful German-Mennonite heritage recipes. In her youth she became a stylist and was quite adventurous. She was the most loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother anyone could ever be lucky to have.
