Emma Jane was the daughter of of Rev. W. L and Mary Catherine Oxendine Moore. She married Early Bullard on Jun. 30, 1910 in the Burnt Swamp section of Robeson county, North Carolina.

The following was taken from the Jul. 9, 1965 edition of THE ROBESONIAN:

Mrs. Emma Jane Bullard, 78, wife of Judge Early Bullard, who died Thursday afternoon about 2:30 at her home in the Prospect section, Pembroke, Rt., will be held Sunday morning at 11 o'clock at Old Prospect Methodist church. Burial will be in her family cemetery. Rev. Simeon F. Cummings and Rev. D. F. Lowry will officiate.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Clement and Beecher G. Bullard of Pembroke, Rt.; nine grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. N. H. Dial of Pembroke. Rt.
