mma Jane Meckes was confirmed 25 September 1892 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Albrightsville, PA.
In 1896 Emma Jane Meckes had a child, Carrie Agnes Altemose, by Francis Altemose. They were not married. Seven years later, in 1903, Emma Jane Meckes and George F Keiper (son of Amos Keiper and Amelia Ann "Millian" bonser) were married 30 Sep 1903 in Wilkes Barre, Luzerne Co., PA, by Rev. H. J. Seneker (Luzerne Co. marriage license #36457). In 1935, 1957 and 1975 she was living at Albrightsville, PA where she was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Church.

Mrs. Emma Keiper
Mrs. Emma Jane Keiper, 97, of Albrightsville, died Monday in the Gnaden Huetten Nursing and Convalescent Center, Lehighton. She was the widow of George Keiper.
Born in Meckesville, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Isabell (Ziegenfus) Meckes.
She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Albrightsvillle.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Isabell Schoch of Bethlehem and Mrs. Evelyn Haydt of Albrightsville; three sons, Roy C. of Camden, NJ, Amos of Albrightsville and Lawrence of Kresgeville; 30 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Kresge Funeral Home, Brodheadsville. Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.
