Mar. 28,, 1877:: Emma Sophia is born in Wisconsin. She is the 1rst of 5 children born to Christian Ammundsen and Anna Nelson,, 2 girls followed by 3 boys.
1880 United States Census,, Seneca,, Crawford County,, Wisconsin:: Lists Emma Ammonson,, A02,, living in the home of her parents,, Chris,, A30,, and Anna,, A22. Mother and daughter are listed,, born Wisconsin while husband Chris is from Norway.
1895 Minnesota State Census,, Saint Paul:: Lists Emma Ammundsen,, A17,, living in the home of her parents,, Christian,, A43,, and Anna,, A36,, at 892 Beech Street,, together with 4 younger siblings. What is interesting is that the next family on the the census,, next door at 900 Beech Street,, is the family of Pliny and Mary Pearson,, together with their daughter,, Edith,, A03. Pliney happens to be the older brother of Emmas’ future husband,, David,, whom she no doubt met while he was visiting his brother and toddler. Pliny’s’ wife Mary dies during this year,, leaving Pliny no doubt requiring domestic help to both work and look after Edith. Perhaps Emma was an occasional babysitter for Pliny at this time. David was living on a couple of blocks away during this time,, in the home of his sister,, Ella Klinefelter and her husband,, John,, at 916 E. Minnehaha Street. (There was no on-line dating back then,, you had to meet in person). Pliny’s’ mother,, Susan Harseim,, is also widowed during this year
and by the next census,, is now living with Pliny,, together with son Fred. They perhaps have been here as early as 1895.
1900 United States Census,, St. Paul:: Lists Emma Ammundsen,, A22,, living in the home of her parents,, Christian,, A51,, and Anna,, A42,, still residing at 892 Beech Street,, together with 3 younger siblings. Future brother in law Pliny has left Beech Street for Margery accomodations and is now at 912 E. Minnehaha Street. It is
only a couple of blocks from Beech Street. Future husband David is living with hiis sister Ella Klinefelter and her husband at 916 E. Minnehaha,, equally close to his future wife,, Emma Sophia.
Jul. 23,, 1903:: Sophia Ammundsen,, A25,, marries David Pearson,, A39,, at Hennipen,, Minnesota.
1905 Minnesota State Census,, St. Paul:: Lists Emma S. Pearson,, A26,, and husband David B.,, A41,, together with 1 child in the home;; Chester D.,, A01.
1910 United States Census,, St. Paul:: Lists Emma Pearson,, A32,, and husband David,, A47,, at 628 Fauquier Street,, together with 3 children in the home:: Chester,, A06,, Ethel,, A03 and Wesley,, A01. Emmas’ brother,, Elmer Ammundsen,, A25,, is also listed living in the home. David is listed as a cabinetmaker at a brewery. Note:: Fauquier Street no longer exists,, it’s’ name changed to Bush Ave,, in 1957.
1920 United States Census,, St. Paul:: Lists Emma Pearson,, A42,, and husband David,, A53,, residing at 342 Morris Street,, together with 3 children in the home:: Chester D.,, A15,, Ethel R.,, A13,, and Wesley D.,, A11.
Apr. 06,, 1930:: Husband David Pearson dies at the age of 66 yrs. His disposition is not known at this time.
1930 United States Census,, St. Paul:: Lists Emma Pearson,, widow,, A52,, and son Chester,, A26,, residing at 607 Laurel Avenue. Husband David has died very recently,, on Apr. 06.
Xxxxxx,, 1957:: Emma dies at the age of 80 yrs. We do not know her disposition at this time.
