"MANATEE MATRON, MRS. EMMA PRATT IS CALLED BY DEATH"

"Mrs. Emma Caroline Pratt, aged sixty-eight years, died at her home in the eastern part of Manatee, on Thursday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock after an illness of three weeks.

Deceased was a native of North Carolina and had resided in Manatee the past twenty years. She is survived by her husband who is eighty-two years old, by six daughters and four sons.

The children are: L. M. Pratt, Miss Mamie Pratt, Mrs. Harris Hyman, G. D. Pratt, R. C. Pratt, Paul Pratt, all of Manatee; Mrs. DeWitt Cannon of Palmetto; Mrs. V. F. Dowling of Way Station, Ga., Mrs. John Lokoskie of Anderson, N. C. and Mrs. C. C. Brown of Daytona.

The funeral was held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, from the family home in East Manatee, with Rev. Cameron of St. Petersburg officiating. Interment was in Fogartyville cemetery, in charge of Mortician R. H. Wakeman of Wakeman Funeral Home."
