DEATH. — The death occurred on Saturday, at Tremassie-road, North Ryde, of Mrs. Amelia Whitfield, of North Ryde, (relict of?) William John Whitfield, of North Ryde, at the ripe old age of 75 years, 70 of which had been spent in Australia. The cause of death was pneumonia.

The funeral, which took place on Monday, was largely attended, the remains being interred in the Church of England portion of the Field of Mars Cemetery.

The deceased is survived by nine (6?) sons and daughters,
viz., George Whitfield, Marsfield ; Henry Whitfield, Ryde ; William John Whitfield, Blenheim-road, North Ryde ; Russell Whitfield, Tomassie-road, North Ryde ; Mrs. R. Gascoigne and Mrs. James Huckins, Bondi.
