About Ens. Henry Draper
Henry Draper met his wife whilst stationed with his regiment at Pittsfield, Mass. during the War of 1812. He was an ensign in Col. S. Larned's 9th Regiment of U. S. Infantry; commission dated Mar. 18, 1812. He served until the regiment was mustered out on Nov. 30, 1812. His regiment was also quartered at Brookfield, Mass., after the War in 1817, he removed from the latter place to Rochester, N. Y.
