SPANISH FORK--Ephraim Hansen, 75, a brother of former Justice Elias Hansen of the Utah Supreme Court, died while working at his home here Friday morning of a heart attack.
He was born at Spanish Fork, May 9, 1865, son of James and Mary Sorenson Hansen, and received his education in the public schools here. He followed the occupation of farmer and stock raiser most of his life, but for some years engaged in railroad and canal construction work.
He married Mary Moore, Jan. 2, 1888. They made their home here until 1911, when they moved to Howe, Ida.
Mr. Hansen was an active member of The Church (of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). He was also interested in civic work and community improvement.
He is survived by his widow, four daughters and three sons: Mrs. Lee Davis of Spanish Fork, John, Arch and Neph Hansen of Howe, Ida; Mrs. John Hutchison of Woodland, Calif.; and Mrs. R.R. Cook of Arlingtion, Calif.; 25 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Nora Sowaker of Los Angeles, Calif., and three brothers, Dan Hansen of Grace, Ida., Nephi Hansen of Los Angeles and Elias Hansen of Salt Lake City.
