The decomposing body of Eric (51), a Great Dane dog breeder, was found in his house on his farm outside Rustenburg, a week after his murder. His 78 year-old mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's, was found locked in the bathroom and severely dehydrated, after being there for nine days. North West Premier Thandi Modise said Labuschagne's death highlights the need for farmers to keep in regular contact with each other. Police searched for one of Labuschagne's employees.
