Erma K Farkas

Erma K. Farkas age 95 of Bellevue passed away on Saturday April 30, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 1, 1920 the youngest daughter of William and Orsola (Poyer) Kapsandi in Bellevue. Erma graduated from Bellevue High School with the Class of 1939.

On July 1, 1939 she married Joseph J. Farkas he preceded her in death on December 7, 1961. Erma owned and operated Riverside Cafe in Bellevue from 1967 until 1985. 

Surviving Erma are her children, Roger (Betty) Farkas of Bellevue, Joanne Hopson of Oklahoma City, OK, Joyce (William) Davis of Bellevue, Ron (Marilyn) Farkas of Bellevue, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe Farkas, 3 sisters.
Relatives and friends will be received from 5-7 PM on Wednesday May 4, 2016 at the Kempf Family Funeral Homes, Lehman Chapel 205 N. Elizabeth St. Bellevue, MI 49021. A funeral service celebrating the life of Erma will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday May 5, 2016 at the Bellevue First Baptist Church 122 S. Main St. Bellevue, MI with Pastor Don Francis officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Bellevue.
