News was received this morning of the death of a former Te Puke resident in the person of Mr Ernest Kerr, who passed away at Auckland in his 51st year. The deceased was the third son of the late Mr and Mrs Henry Kerr and a brother of Mr L. Kerr, of Te Puke. He was a wheelwright by trade, but on account of ill-health had not been able to work for a considerable time. When in Te Puke he took a great interest in shooting, and was recognised as a very fine marksman. TE PUKE TIMES, 15 OCTOBER 1935, PAGE 3.
