Ernest Rice, age 62, died at his home near Neptune at one o'clock Sunday morning following an attack of heart trouble. He had been in falling health for the last year. Mr. Rice was the son of Scudder and Margaret Jane Rice, and was born March 18, 1871, on the same farm where his death occurred yesterday. He lived all of his life ln the Neptune community and was widely known. In addition to his wlfe he is survived by the following children: Homer Rice, Glenn Rice, near Neptune; Mrs. Gladys Grothjan, of Toledo, Mrs. Margaret Springer, of Michigan. Marie, Bernice, Robert and Vernon Rice, at home, one brother, Grant Rice; of Mendon, and two sisters, Mrs. G. M. Raudabaugh, of St. Marys, and Mrs. J. C. Nichols, of Elgin, O. Mr. Rice was a member of the Church of God at Neptune where the funeral will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.
