Ernst Human (1935 - 2022)

Brief overview:

Ernest (87), was found tied up, with wounds on his thighs, in the study of his home on his smallholding in Jan Kempdorp in the Northern Cape on 12th February 2022 around 19h45.

Police Spokesperson, Capt. Sergio Kock, said Ernst was living alone at the time of the murder. A family friend came across his body and called the police.

A 46-year-old woman was taken in for questioning, but was released.

Update 11/09/2022: After eight months, no arrests have been made in connection with Human's murder, Police spokesperson, Capt. Sergio Kock, said that no arrests have been made yet. However, according to Pierre Loock and Kiewiet Swanepoel, members of the Vaalharts security group, are hopeful that arrests will happen soon. Loock and Swanepoel were on the scene when Ernst's body was found.
