HALPERT--Esther Wein Salzman, 94, died on May 22, 2008. Beloved wife of the late William Salzman and the late Macy Halpert. Devoted mother of Marilyn Webb (John Sheedy) and the late Netta Salzman and loving step-mother of Sheila and Robert Braslau and Carole and Albert Angel. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer Kiefer (Jason) and loving stepgrandmother of David Angel (Janna Clark), Eric Angel (SuSi Ju), Robert Angel (Selene), Alan Braslau (Natalie Rachline), Stacy Braslau-Schneck (Dave Schneck), Rebecca Braslau (Chris Gordon), Ally Sheedy, Patrick Sheedy and Meghan Antonangeli (Jay). Adoring great-grandmother of Lucas, Jack, Quinn and step great-grandmother of Rebecca, Jack, Julia, Sammy, Jade, Zachary, Josie, Ally, Fiona, Tess, Neil and Monica. Dearest sister of Rosalie Ollar. Services Sunday, 10am at Temple Beth-El of Great Neck, 5 Old Mill Road. Donations may be made to the Esther Halpert Fund for Poetry in the Schools, c/o Marilyn Webb.
