Lockridge Times, Feb 10, 1921

Our community was suddenly saddened Tuesday evening, February 8th, when the sad news came that Mrs. Oscar Lindquist had passed away. Her entire life had been spent here, and her death is especially sorrowing to those who have known her since she was .........

Esther Quick was born March 1st, 1884, and would have been thirty-seven years of age her next birthday. She was born on the home farm two and one-half miles north of Lockridge, her parents being Mr. and Mrs. John Quick. Here she has since lived, and after the death of her father, she has assisted her aged mother in the work of the home.

On October 15th, 1919, she was united in marriage to Oscar Lindquist.

Besides the mother and husband the following member of the family are left to mourn her passing; Mrs. Ida Gillen, as sister, of East Moline, Ill. Edward Quick of Fairfield and Will Quick of Lockridge, brothers: and the following half-brothers and half-sisters: Mrs. C.A. Woellhaf of Fairfield, Martin Quick of St. Louis, Mo., and Emil Quick of Lockridge.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home and 2 o'clock at the New Sweden Lutheran church, pastor, Rev. E.H. Sanden, having charge of the service.
