Esther Thompson

Esther Snow of Woburn, Massachusetts, married Abijah Thompson, also of Woburn, on December 13, 1759. She was probably a native of Woburn, and may have been a daughter of Isaac Snow. Based on her stated age at death (21), she may have been born about 1740.[1][2][3][4]

Esther (Snow) Thompson died of "small-pox" on January 3, 1761, aged 21, leaving no children. She was buried at the First Burial Ground in Woburn. Her gravestone is badly damaged today, but the text has been preserved and may have appeared thus:[1][3][4]

Biography

Esther Snow was born in Woburn, Massachusetts, on June 30, 1734, the daughter of Isaac Snow and Esther Converse. Esther died in Woburn on April 13 (Town Death Record) (11th - Town, Epitaphs) (12th - Wyman, Burying Ground), 1739, at the age of 4. She was buried at the First Burial Ground in Woburn, where her gravestone is said to have read:[1][2][3][4]
