ESTHER WALLACE - MELBOURNE
Esther Wallace, age 80, of Melbourne, FL died while surrounded by loved ones at her daughters home on Saturday, September 29, 2007. The daughter of Emilio and America Rodriguez, Esther was born October 4, 1926 and emigrated from Havana, Cuba to New York City in 1948. Soon after arriving in the United States, she met her future husband, Jack Wallace while on an outing to Palisades Park, and they wed July 15, 1950. They were married for 53 years until Jacks death on June 1, 2004.
Esther enjoyed cooking, bowling and playing Bunko with friends.
She worked for Emerson Electric, Space Systems, and Harris Corporation throughout her younger years.
She was a member of the Hispano-American Club of Brevard County where she met many of her closest friends. Esthers friends were a precious source of faith, strength, and companionship especially in her final years.
Her family thanks you all.
Esthers greatest gift was the love and support she gave her family. Her concern and nurturing (emotionally and physically) revealed the depth of her affection and the infinite magnitude of her heart. She was kind, selfless, sympathetic, generous and fun-loving. She was a wonderful role model and source of advice to everyone with whom she came into contact.
She is survived by three children, Sandra, William and Aileen; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Gregory, Jack, Steven, Erica, Alyssa and William; and four great-grandchildren, Aidan, Gavin, Evangeline and Francesca; sons-in-law, Greg Sutter and Carl Carothers and daughter-in-law, Aixa Wallace. Esthers siblings, Amelia and Perico also survive her.
She was preceded in death by brothers Reynaldo, Enrique and Alberto as well as her sister, Bertha.
