Esther M. Wiley, 82, of 170 East Greene Street, Waynesburg, died Sunday, August 22, 1993, in Washington Hospital, following a five-week illness.
She was born November 1, 1910, in New Lyme, Ohio, a daughter of Archibald Fordyce Hickman and Mary Josephine Wood Hickman.
Mrs. Wiley was a housewife. She was a former resident of Rogersville and also lived for several years in Washington County.
She was a member of First Christian Church of Rogersville.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel R. (Becky) Wiley, whom she married September 17, 1932; five sons, John H. Wiley of Winnemucca, Nev., Ralph L. Wiley of Sycamore RD 1; Melvin F. Wiley of Carson City, Nev., and Harold W. Wiley and Harry F. Wiley, both of Sparks, Nev.; four daughters, Mrs. Donald (Mary Alice) Fisher of Waynesburg, Mrs. Emerson (Anna Marie) Suniega of Alexandria, Va., Mrs. Danny (Irma Catherine) Shyder of Waynesburg and Mrs. Glenn (Carolyn Joyce) Johnson of Cokeburg; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was the last of her immediate family.
Deceased are seven brothers, Cecil, Ralph, Phillip, Sidney, Stephen, Clinton and Bertram Hickman; and a sister, Eunice Bambarger. A son, Danny Wiley, died in infancy.
