Obit--The Sylvester Local newspaper March 11, 1962
Mrs. H.I. Poole, Sr. 74 of Sylvester died unexpectedly March 8 in an Albany hospital. Funeral services were held at 3 P.M. at the First Baptist church of Sylvester, with the Rev. Milton C. Gardner, Jr. and the Rev. Chefa Hathcock, Jr. officiating. Burials was in Hillcrest Cemetery, with Banks Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Alvin Bozeman, Nick Reynolds, Graham Bozeman. G. O. Dearsio, E. J. Ford and Maurice Wingate. A native of Schley county, Mrs. Poole was a daughter of the late James Monroe and Mary Lightner Murray. She had lived in Worth county and was a member of the First Baptist church here. Survivors include her husband; six sons, Murray J. Poole of Moultrie, Robert L. Poole of Savannah, Dr. Charles E. Poole of Albany, H.I. Poole and Raymond E. Poole, both of Sylvester, Dr Grady Poole of Ashburn, two daughters, Mrs. E. M. Palmer and Mrs. James T. Palmer both of Hattiesburg, Miss; two brothers George P. Murray of Atlanta, Harry Murray of Ellaville, a sister Mrs. J. T Webb, Sr. of Americus and 25 grandchildren.
