"Eunice Lea, the daughter of Captain William Lea, was born January 2, 1749. On May 5, 1774 she married Alexander Rose and they had ten children. Eunice and her husband lived in Person County in the vicinity of Roseville and later moved to a farm on South Hyco Creek near Lea's Chapel Church. Her husband died in 1807 and Eunice died after March 21, 1816, on which date she signed a deed in Person County. She is buried in an unmarked grave in Lea's Chapel churchyard."
