RENO, Nev. - Eva Yonk Bangerter Johnson, 95, died Aug. 8, 2001 at the Life Care Nursing Home in Reno, Nev. She was born Dec. 8, 1905 in Petersboro, Utah to Fredrick C. and Phoebe Muir Yonk.

She graduated from Logan High School, worked at W. F. Jensen Candies and several businesses in Logan, Utah, managed Mountain Bell Telephone office in Morgan, Utah and was active in the LDS Church, where she taught Primary and held many callings in the Relief Society.

She married Alma H. Bangerter on April 15, 1931, in the Logan Temple and later divorced. They had one daughter, Ruth B. Stirland. She married Floyd H. Johnson on March 31, 1949, and lived in Logan until his death in Nov. 17, 1979. After his death she went to live with her daughter, Ruth.

Eva is survived by her daughter, Ruth B. (Meade A.) Stirland of Wickenburg, Ariz.; five grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; children of Floyd H. Johnson from a prior marriage, Dana Otte, Allen Johnson, Marilyn Mauchley, Deon Johnson and Cordell Johnson; 25 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Beverly Burris and Darwin Johnson and by one brother and six sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the Allen-Cranney Mortuary Chapel at 420 E. 1800 North, North Logan, Utah, where friends may call on Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
