Eva Delcamp-Kobler, 26, of Sterling, Logan County, Colorado daughter of Mr and Mrs Daniel Delcamp of Goshen, was shot and killed by her husband, John W Kobler, a farmer, at their home in Sterling, Thanksgiving day. After murdering his wife Kobler killed himself.
Details of the double tragedy are not known in Goshen. Jesse Delcamp of this city, a brother of the murdered woman, left this afternoon for Sterling to bring the body of Mrs Delcamp and her two small children to Goshen.
Koblers relatives reside in the vicinity of Sterling.
What information regarding the killing of wife and the husband ending his life has reached here, came in a telegram this morning to the father of Mrs Kobler.
Soon after they were married in Goshen about 13 months ago Mr and Mrs Kobler went to Sterling to reside. A letter from Mrs Kobler, received by her mother Friday morning made no mention of any kind. A few weeks ago the Delcamp family here received a shipment of a quarter of veal, sent from Sterling to Mr Kobler.
Surviving Mrs Kobler are two children, her parents, four brothers and six sisters.
No record of the Delcamp-Kobler marriage could be found at the office of the Elkhart county clerk today and it was said that Miss Delcamp had left her home and married Kobler.
Mrs Delcamp-Kobler’s children are the son’s; one seven and the other ten.
The murdered woman had been married twice.
