Eva Neola Mantle

WASHINGTON, IL - Eva Neola Mantle, 82, formerly of 300 Wagner St. died at 8:55 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, 1999, at Eureka Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka, IL.

Born March 2, 1917, in Linn, Mo., to Samuel and Lucinda M. Sieg, she married Leonard Mantle on March 2, 1936, in East St. Louis. He died Feb. 14, 1965, in Peoria.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Alma Mantle, one sister and three brothers.

Surviving are two sons, William (Nora) Sr. of Washington and Herman (Wanda) of St. Martins, Mo.; one daughter, Dixie (Charles) Schlossler of Roanoke; two brothers, John Sieg of Galesburg and Robert Sieg of Branson, Mo.; two sisters, Ada Clark of Pacific, Mo., and Mary Kramer of Illiopolis; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was a cook at Mac's, a restaurant in the Beverly Manor neighborhood of Washington.

She was a member of Church of Christ in Washington.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Don Potts will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.

Memorials may be made to the Eureka Apostolic Christian Home.
