Evelyn G. Groff, formerly of Souderton, passed away on her 94th birthday, Thursday, October 31, 2013, in Pennsburg Manor. She was the beloved wife of 70 years to the late Carlton R. "Jack" Groff who died in October, 2010.

Born in Souderton, she was a daughter of the late William and Grace (Yost) Hildebrandt.

She was employed as a packer at the former R. T. French Company in Souderton for 25 years prior to her retirement in 1979.

Mrs. Groff was a member of the North Penn Church of Christ in North Wales. In her free time she enjoyed playing cards.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Clark and her husband William of Bechtelsville, a son, Carlton L. Clark and his wife Mary of Bartow, FL, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, a sister, June Musselman of Telford, two brothers: Vernon Lewis of Lansdale, and Richard Hildebrandt of Manassas, VA. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Victor, William, and John Groff, and a sister, Myrtle Schaffer.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 12:00 Noon in the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, 33 N. Main St., Telford. Family will receive friends from 11 AM until the time of the service. Interment is private at the convenience of the family in Zion Memorial Gardens, Franconia Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Pennsburg Manor, 530 Macoby St., Pennsburg, PA 18073. Arrangements are by the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, Telford.
