BARNEVELD - Evelyn I. Jabs, age 98, of Barneveld, died on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at Ingleside Nursing Home in Mount Horeb.

She was born Aug. 31, 1914, in Brigham Township, Wis., to Louis and Mabel (Doescher) Kelly. She was united in marriage to William "Virgil" Jabs on Nov. 24, 1937. They farmed until 1962. Virgil preceded her in death March 11, 2007. She was a member of Barneveld Congregational United Church of Christ, and the Barneveld American Legion Auxilliary

Survivors include her son, Ronald (Anita) Jabs of Barneveld; a daughter-in-law, Jeanne Jabs of Barneveld; two grandsons, Jerrod (Cassie) Jabs and Jason (Kelli) Jabs; five granddaughters, Janna (Johnny) Brausen, Justine, Lesley and Kelsey Jabs and Kendra (Jimmy T.) Watkins; seven great-grandchildren, Clayton, Joslyn, Braden, Jaxson, Jace , Kori and Kortnie; two brothers, Marvin Kelly and Vernon (Millie) Kelly, both of Mount Horeb; two sisters, Lilas Miller of Mount Horeb, and Lillian Theobald of Marshall; two sisters-in-law, Kathryn Jabs of Mount Horeb, and Katie Kelly of Barneveld; brother and sister-in-law, Owen Ole´´ and Delma Larson of Mount Horeb; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death her parents; her husband; a son, Roger Jabs (Oct. 16, 2010); brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy (Annie), Lester (Jean) and Willard (Leona) Ellard Kelly; her brother-in-law, Walter Jabs; and a stepbrother, Bernard Larson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at the BARNEVELD CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST with the Rev. Beryl I. Melcher officiating. Burial will be at the White Church Cemetery in Brigham Township, Wis. A visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. on Tuesday at the BARNEVELD CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST. Memorials may be made to Barneveld Congregational United Church of Christ. The Ellestad Camacho Funeral Home, 500 N. 8th St., Mount Horeb, is serving the family.
