Blair Myska was a remarkable woman who lived a full life of accomplishment and purpose as a loving wife and mother, a successful banker, a leader in her church and community, a supporter of education, and an inspiration to her daughters and a generation of young women in Richmond, Texas.

Blair was born on November 16, 1928 in Tavener, Texas, graduated from Beasley High School and attended Sam Houston State University. In 1950, Blair married her true love, C. E. Blair was a life-long banker in Richmond retiring from Wells Fargo National Bank as Senior Vice-President and Trust Officer in 1993.

Blair served as Treasurer and Board member of St John's United Methodist Church, as a Board member of Youth Opportunity Unlimited, as Treasurer and Board Member of the Volunteer Services Council of the Richmond State School, as a Director of the First National Bank of Richmond and as a member of the local Bar Association Grievance Committee.

Blair was preceded in death by her parents, August and Thelma Walzel, her brother, J.B. "Buck" Walzel, and her sister Jacquelyn Walzel. She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, C. E. "Jack" Myska, and her loving daughters, Lynda Myska Irvine and husband John Irvine of Houston, Cindy Myska and husband Frank Allen of Austin, Texas, and Donna Myska Ratliff and husband Jerimac Ratliff of Las Vegas, Nevada. She is also survived by six grandchildren that were blessed to know and love her, Jamie Irvine and William Irvine, Lyssa Myska Allen, Jordan Myska Allen, Graham Ratliff and wife Shari, Garett Ratliff and wife Leela, and a great grandchild, Kaia Grace Ratliff.

She is also survived by her sister Judy Simmons, and husband Roy, her brother-in-law, Gene Myska and wife, Dorothy, and many beloved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.

The family is very grateful to Rita Turrubiate, Connie Roman, Lorena Liceaga, Brenda Simon, Evelyn Simon and Delila Gil for the care and love with which they took care of Blair.
