The above photo of Everett Hale Call was found on the website FamilySearch.org and was posted there by Cinda Eastin on July 18, 2017. The caption indicates that the photo was taken in 1936 and was his LDS Mission photo. Under the Media Tab above are 3 more photos, one of Everett with his wife Louise Madsen Call and another of Everett when he was young pictured with his father and mother Willard and Louie Ann Hale Call and 2 sisters, as well as one of Everett when he was older.
Everett Hale Call, 92, died as he lived, peacefully, surrounded by family on June 11, 2006. All who knew Everett would describe him as gracious, distinguished, kind, a refined gentleman of uncommon integrity. His life spanned a century of unprecedented change, but his character was unchanging. He was born in Denver, Colorado, on August 15, 1913, to Willard and Louie Ann Hale Call. He grew up in Bancroft, Idaho. He raised his family in the East Millcreek area of Salt Lake City. He married Louise Madsen on November 8, 1934, in the Salt Lake Temple. Beautiful identical twin girls were born to their union. Louise died in 1949.
He married Anne DeYoung on June 28, 1950, in the Salt Lake Temple and five more children joined their family. Everett was a faithful member of the LDS church. He served a mission to the North Western states in 1934 shortly after his marriage to Louise. He served diligently in many church callings. Serving in the bishopric, as a temple worker and as an usher on Temple Square for 18 years are just a few examples. Everett loved his pioneer heritage of both the Call and Hale families. He was a passionate participant with the Sons of Utah Pioneers serving as national president in1988. He began his work life in a small store in the historic pioneer town of Chesterfield, Idaho, and later became a successful salesman of fine clothing and jewelry which led him to travel extensively throughout the United States including Alaska.
He is survived by his wife Anne of 56 years, children, Cathryn Kirkham (Richard), Carolyn Housley (Mervin), Robert, Richard, (Marilyn), Craig, (Gwen), Cynthia Call-Shotorbani (Nasser), 22 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Louise Nelson. He is preceded in death by his daughter Lou Ann Call Wilson, granddaughter Ashley Call , brothers, Ellis, Ferris, Barlow, George and sister, Melva Harris.
